On Monday, the OCO Club had the opportunity to provide lunch for the Gifu Honor Green Band from Japan who will be marching in the 2023 Rose Parade. A huge thank you to the OCO BBQ Crew for preparing yummy hamburgers, hot dogs, salad, chips, cookies, and all the sides! The band were also provided with Matsuri Tshirts and snacks. We hope to make this a yearly tradition! The band members were very appreciative of the delicious food and for some, it was their first time seeing a huge BBQ so they were excited to take pictures with the BBQ.

A brief background on the Green Band Association: It is an organization (founded in 1998) that offers students in Japan a life changing opportunity to visit the United States and expand their horizons through experiences they would not be able to achieve otherwise. Amazing as the opportunity to march in the Rose Parade and the Disneyland Parade is as part of their California visit, the uniquely enduring part of the program is the Home Stay.
