OCO Cub Scout Pack 214 Mammoth Trip (Day 1; June 26, 2019) - The OCO Cub Scouts Pack 214 visited Manzanar National Historic Site learning about the history of the concentration camp that incarcerated over 120,000 Japanese Americans during WWII. The scouts participated in the Junior Ranger program where they watched a 22 minute film on Manzanar, interacted with park rangers, experienced the exhibits and completed a booklet to earn the prized Manzanar Junior Ranger badge.

OCO Cub Scout Pack 214 Mammoth Trip (Day 2; June 27, 2019) - The OCO Cub Scouts and families ventured to Convict Lake and Pleasant Valley Reservoir in search of the elusive rainbow and brown trout. While the trout may have won this battle they can expect these generations of scouts to be back for more battles! In addition to fishing the scouts visited and hiked the Hot Creek Geological site where they saw the amazing natural hot spring. They also had a chance to visit Hot Creek’s Trout hatchery to see all this fish they ALMOST caught.
